with the summer season upon us many are planning their vacations,

flings & getaways,

however, many are staying on the mainland because the current traveling climate is getting a little too sticky for many individuals to afford,

so, they've resorted to local options for vacationing, being a tourist in their own city, or country,

we've got over 50 states, many need the tourism traffic and dollars, the economy is on a diet,

find a niche, be open to embark on an authentic entertainment experience...

this is not a new idea, but i haven't seen the trend in years, or maybe i'm out of touch,

it can be a bit of both,

i got a call the other day to plan a pre summer event for an old acquaintance,

simple enough, been out the game a while but its like riding a bike, you never forget, lol...

in the past they would do events on a yacht or in various venue spaces, destination type events, real laid back turn't up vibez, professional & sexy,

their goal this time around was more of a minimal setting, a local getaway,

i didn't have to do shit but come up with an idea, concept & visual layout,

they had a respectable budget & minor request to add [#1 rule no cell phones], a staff, and a guest list of faithful followers and investors, it was a mixer of middle-aged professionals essentially,

so, they rented out a hotel penthouse suite with a patio and had a garden style day party,

a view of the river and the city skyline, upper class vibe shit,

[my opinion: brunch and bed & breakfast spots have become too restrictive & oversaturated; we had to detach from that hype]!

i've done nightlife, brunches, day parties, vip events and everything in between,

i compared the experiences of each, and obviously there all similar in concept, industry standards, agenda, blaza blah etc.

for example,

there're libations, good vibes, finger foods, sultry ambience, door charge or open bar, just the basic experience but @ different times and crowd...

myth says "the freaks come out @ night", but ive witnessed more freaks roam the street's during the day too, a good mix...

ponder on this,

a typical night out can cost you...?

a typical brunch would run your group...?

renting an event space would run you...?

depending on your bizness sense and resources, a solid guestlist, flexible budget,

a day party would combine both concepts and save you funds & a headache,

if you know how to host a dope event, basement bash or soiree, this is the move to consider!

this isn't a master class,

just info i got from many master class session i've experienced on my journey, lol,

the night life as we knew it has lost its authentic vibe, it's become a toxic energy of insecure individuals crying for attention in the wrong places,

why do people go to the clubs... bars... or parties etc. for?

do you go to an amusement park, spend all that money and not get on rides?

so why the fuck would you dress up, wait on a line, spend all that money, and just sit at a fucking couch?

to taking selfies on the dance floor?

to post filtered reelz or whatever?

you could of did that bullshit @ home, and bought more bottles with the amount you spent on one bottle showing off to people that don't know you, or give a shit about your existence...

some people just wanna have fun, period!

back in the days, yes i said back in the days,

everybody was equal, you watch the movies from the 80's, 90's, early 00's, and you can go further back, they were sweating they asses off in those clubs, house parties became pop culture, look how everybody was bopping to hip hop and rock & roll,

saving the last dance and shit, you just had to be there...

everything now in nightlife has become a tourism trap, social media sensations trying to recycle the hype,

do people even dance or interact with each other anymore in these spots?

just like social media, the club scene is full of bots and filter thots!

there are so many souls' missing true connection,

social media has taken over and people have lost their social skills, go figure,

with this project, having no cell phones during the event was key to its success,

because lack of a better word it forced individuals to interact with others without the support or distraction of a digital device,

remembering why they're here, to have fun, socialize, let the weight off their shoulders...

attending those dope events this summer is what i'm looking forward to,

just felt like throwing out this random rant to those hosting events this summer!
