time flies,

what we're experiencing now was being developed for expansion back then,

it took years of research,

trial & errors to harness the vision but it happened.

let's call it our 20-year-old digital child,

by now,

it gone thru adolescence, pre-teens, puberty, young maturity and now a "digital adult" we're in a toxic situationship with,

so many pros and cons on this journey and we've been the "influencers & investors" to its existence.

spawn'd out that era was an idea,

turned into a concept,

then coined "online shopping" to the public, e-commerce was a budding student project,

you just had to be there,

it was a glorious times waiting for dial up, the simple life,

however, as it expanded so would the technology to supply the demand,

and the gig industry, [my bad that's always existed],

the "digital gig industry" was developed,

and it needed workers to fulfill position, mlm style marketing was executed,

jobs for dollars for companies to profit and flood the economy with clever algorithms to sell us a dream,

like the sim's simulation,

welcome to the dark side of a wild ride...!

many of the jetsons visions [predictions] have come true [go binge watch the show],

but not the flying cars or humanoid robots serving our every need,

or being teleported to vacations exploring other planets,

or was that star trek?

don't matter, we still gotta deal with neanderthal mammals and their archaic beliefs & behaviors,

don't shot the messenger just inhale some marijuana & vibe with me...

i don't know what the requirements are,

but i know companies follow some basic industry standard or procedures they've agreed on,

anyways, there's limited to no human connection to the hiring process,

they hire anybody these days to work with the public [i.e. retail, rideshare, food service, gig industry, schools, etc.!]

seriously like anybody,

i don't judge, i observe, then judge...

there should be more done than a floozy background check,

that's like a lie detector test, we know the "accuracy" probabilities,

a personality and mental health observation should be standard policy,

this is not a swipe, i'm just experienced in that reality,

being on both sides of the topic has cautioned me on how we utilize certain platforms for our content or personal usage.

this post is for the "mass consumers", customers, or clients out there,

there're levels to overstanding the MANipulation of capitalism,

read between the lines of the script, all pyramid schemes aren't fraudulent,

it all comes down to who's managing it,

there's millions of consumers experience with "ride share" or delivery/service apps,

yet not all are positive experiences...

"good services is subjective", just like finding good people!

i don't judge, i watch, then i judge...

i've worked the gig industry,

bounced around a number of platforms before i focused on one that was polished for my needs, and experience,

[fact:] many giggers never had a job before becoming a 1099,

so, my insight will be from being a gigger and employee, to also being a customer of the same platforms i've contracted for,

now this is my opinion from random experience i've encountered,

i'm 1 in billions, so i don't expect every mind to agree [or disagree] wit mine ..!.

with so many cameras around,

[i.e. cell phones, body cams, ring cams, drones etc.],

we capture so many interactions on daily basis, digitally,

maybe they should make it mandatory for gig workers in certain fields to be required to wear body cams, like they have in delivery trucks, and ride shares [for personal and public safety in mind],

i kno, invasion of privacy issues, however they're on the clock technically, during that time they kinda own you, your time ain't pro bono,

so, you're a representative and property of the company [if you have nothing to hide why care?]

example... let me do what i do and set a scene,

to homeowners, property tenants,

porch pirates aren't always strangers, might just be the individual delivering your package or food,

i'm just saying what i've witnessed,

or chances are it might be a random act from organized strangers,

who knows, ...is there an insurance option for food delivery in case the customer doesn't receive their order?

i believe package delivery has those option...

now i remember the days when mail carriers, couriers and delivery services personal were respectable individuals that took an oath to be loyal to the community,

now they hire any desperate individual portraying themselves as an "honest worker" to represent their company or brand,

if it was a "punishable" crime, we bet customers would never have another problem with bad services or loss of deliveries, i'm just naively wishing and thinking out loud lol

gig work isn't built for all personalities,

if you're not a "people person" don't work with the public,

no amount of money is going to make you a better worker,

misery loves company and app platforms definitely hire a bunch of dummies,

one thing i've observed also,

these platforms assume the individuals they hire are equal, in experience, with customer relations, handling scheduling etc., wtf!!!

most their members lack basic customer service training & skills, which lowers the quality of service the consumers deserve and pay for,

the customer is not always right, but without them there is no profits, experience may vary.

do you get packages delivered?

used apps to order food?

hired a professional for services?

use rideshares?

how was the service you received?

i like to entertain "caught on camera" shows and content,

unscripted pov of events happening in life,

men lie, woman lie, yet video footage exposes they lies live,

there should be an educational video compiled of what gig workers should & shouldn't do on the clock,

some handle themselves professionally, others well it wouldn't be popular viral content,

the gig industry is so oversaturated,

companies have to supply the demand and sometimes that means cutting corners,

big brother will soon regulate this wild west culture because consumers safety [and money] are important to the economy.

now many walks of life are "employed" in the digital gig industry,

diverse backgrounds and work experiences,

these are global marketed platforms, great side hustle earnings,

however, these giggers are taking things to personally,

its designated part time employment,

working the gig hustle is not a long-term goal,

get in, get out, there's bigger fish to fry,

eventually the industry will be dominated by a.i.!
