people using "objects" to hold public parking spaces is such a delusional decision yet relatable!

whether i'm randomly cruising or walking thru the city i seem to notice a trend, maybe not a trend more like a survival tactic, or self-centered privilege,

depending on who this trigger, experiences may vary...

due to traffic and parking, i tend to just leave my driving for out-of-town adventures,

unlike many i have a driveway, a garage to park my car safely and stress free

so i guess im one of the few privileged percental left with access to that feeling of freedom!

let's talk about the larger percentage of the population that has to rely on public parking,

its toxic, stressful, dangerous and many times humorous,

because common sense ain't common,

i see why it makes good content for reels & memes, but a its real serious topic, no joke!

i know i have an old post about parking in dense metropolis across the country,

across the globe,

spin it and stop it anywhere, i bet they have parking issues there too lol

what's the legalities behind obstructing "public space for private parking"?

i see an abundance of "vip" parking across the five boros [and other cities i visit],

individuals using anything to save a parking spots eg.

trash cans, construction cones, empty boxes, mattress, a cardboard car, people etc.,

clever,

but is it "selfish or survival"?

in any city its survival of the smartest, even the fittest need to find parking...

pros, cons, my opinion,

because this isn't a personal problem to me, doesn't mean i don't feel the pain,

i know it has to be frustrating for thousands maybe millions of others,

there's no aptitude test for individuals to have a license or to operate a vehicle,

there's no guidebook for emotions, or book of responses to unhinged frustrations,

so, with so many different personalities, cultures and beliefs,

parking can get a bit sticky in the zity...

drivers, this is a general question,

how do you feel when you see objects obstructing public space?

are you labeled a "hater" for speaking up?

if you're a violator your opinion doesn't count,

we in here venting about your assclown antics, lol...

it's like you're spinning the block, and you peep a potential spot but low and behold it's a fucking hydrant,

we all know that crushing feeling, but should have known better,

but what if it was a garbage can or cones with no sign of construction,

does it make it worse?

does your blood boil?

i bet it does, its normal, remember we don't have a guidebook to emotions, we're self-taught to control them, however many are missing a few screws,

sometimes moving on is better than confrontation, because if you succeed you might have just set yourself up because cowards never move own from valid disrespect [that went over many of y'all heads] .!..

i've done some research, @sk a.i. to expedite the process and break down jargon,

it seems to be a bigger problem depending on where you live within this dense metropolis,

maybe i need to hit the streets with a mic in hand and do interviews,

anyways,

depending on time of year, usually in the winter, car owners could save their parking space if they dug it out after a storm,

or there's a handicap parking spot reserved and posted by the city,

other than that,

its every man or woman for themselves, if you own are car in the zity, that's what come with the privilege of owning a vehicle!

what's the unwritten rules to parking & parking spaces?

it seems like the written rules are unknown, being broken or possibly outdated for overpopulated cities across the world,

bring awareness to the topic, we can't filter frustrations forever,

make a reality show out of it, can't laugh @ our pain for free,

the fines, profits and attention will boost city economies across the board!

make it make sense [and dollars],

soon there will be vigilantes confiscating property of violators getting millions of views and being support [sponsors and all],

not the route pettitians want to see, so,

start those city reward programs, there will be a rise in community snitching, but coin paid for intel will decrease the infractions,

next i can see all this online because why wouldn't this be a positive trend?

but remember what i said about unhinged individuals,

this is not a call to action,

it's just a random thought, if city officials aren't doing it, then the community has to, it takes a village right?

i think i've said enough but this is for the individuals that habitually do this shit,

self-accountability is free, ignorance is expensive tho,

many of y'all don't care, i get it, but when you finally fa&fo,

who do you blame?

what excuses do you make?

what lies do you tell to avoid self-accountability?

save the tough attitude shit, pride goeth before a fall,

karma & consequences appears inconspicuously and can be very expensive,

imagine in this day and age the many things that can humble a violator,

examples i've witness...

whatever object they use to obstruct the space is gone [for good lol], or,

the owner gets a fine or points taken off their license, or,

the owners precious toy loses all its rims & tires over night by karma agents, or,

the owners get their car towed by the city for violating public space guidelines & rules...

why risk it, because you've gotten away with it for so long?

that's prime real estate you're blocking on public property, bold owners become targets for harassment, or street justice,

is it worth the possible outcomes?

not an activist here but i suggest that those violators out there have some manners & respect, or be embarrassed for the lack of it they have...
