or invent some damn robots to be twenty-four-hour vacuums,

we just seeking solutions here,

technology has become so dependent, we [humans] ignore the excessive tracking that's operating within waste management,

with a.i. why not make every purchase unique to the purchaser[s]?

nothing is safe in digital space or from innovative capitalist...

hear me out, futuristic type shit,

items have already been getting "tagged" for years, so why not do the same for "purchased" items per customer transactions?

soon, everything will be all in digital transactions [cashiers won't exist, cash either],

or cash will be for the lower-class population to survive in this dysfunctional matrix [still on my sci fi shit],

imagine if the powers that be could track who tossed a soda can out a car window, or a receipt, or any item by its unique buyer code that identifies the buyers/consumers etc. etc...,

we'll probably see how quickly people will keep their "litter & garbage" until they go home to dispose of it, lol,

not realistic but it was a worth a thought,

we've finally caught up to the jetson, but still think like the flintstones,

let's see what comes next,

eventually every human will be assigned a humanoid to monitor and correct bad behaviors,

only time will tell...

companies are "non-participators" to residential litter,

but they profit from the problem,

they don't promote it but low-key benefit from it, [industrial waste is more their modus operandi],

they like the "free advertising & creative marketing" to push their brand, while the public has to deal with their toxic waste creating 4ever chemicals type of waste ..!.

companies do do their best to invest in & promote "anti-littering campaigns", yet can't control their customers lack of home training or social hygienic behavior & awareness,

it seems as if you sit back, and look around,

people [humans] can't be trusted to keep shit clean or nice,

there are millions of ungrateful bottom feeders out there treating their neighborhood like the zity dump [don't be one]!

so, in our professional opinion,

the "profiting problem" should cover the fines & fees,

or find ways to invest in [anti-littering] solutions that make sense and dollars to keep the world livable!

what's the best solution for littering?

accountability should be #1 on the list...

i'm curious, because it seems like it's an accepted behavior in many cultures,

many individuals are "products of their environments",

you think their mentality changes when they move to a better neighborhood?

or country?

littering, is it a learned behavior, or disability or a mental health issue?

or maybe none of the above...

sometimes it's just selfishness, entitlement, or lack of civil sense maybe,

who knows!

we think this is some sort of "bottom feeders" syndrome shit, but that's too broad,

cause many individuals within the population have actual mental health disorders that's unchecked or ignored, and sometimes MANipulated for profits,

littering is "all our problem" since we allow the offenders to be "habitual violators",

so, let's break it down ..!.

just an observation but let's set some "labels",

there's the "urban area", "rural area" and "the suburbs",

if you've been to all three then you'll overstand my pov, if you think this is purely political, then you need to look outside your narrowminded box, at least open the flaps assclowns,

let the knowledge shine in lol...

we'll use the "suburbs" scenario first since that's the "american scheme, i mean dream"...

when you drive thru the suburbs what do you see?

close your eyes and think about it...

trees, manicured lawns, mailboxes, driveways, backyards,

space between houses of identical standards,

cul-de-sac's, home associations, nosy neighbors, picket fences,

abundance of parking spaces,

karens, classism, redlining, opportunities, success, filters etc. etc.,

however,

what you don't see is litter and shit floating around like tumbleweed in 70's cartoon shows...

you know why?

let's slide over to the "urban area" real quick, aka the zity,

much different dynamics,

row homes and high-rise buildings mingling not only in the same neighborhood, but on the same block, intermingling and merged like conjoined twins,

there's limited parking, congested streets, career ending potholes, roid road rage, heavy foot traffic, just a melting pot of diverse characters in dense spaces,

unmatched energy, easy accessibility to everything in a three block radius [depending on where you @],

just a 24 7 365 heartbeat, a lifeline to millions, an escape for the curious, a playground for the adventurous,

however,

when you look around, behind all the lights and filters,

litter is visible, almost intimidating,

are you contributing?

go check any major city across the country, across the globe,

this also varies based on neighborhoods of course, there's many beautiful & pristine pockets throughout the five boro's, [pay 2 play]

but our hygiene is poor, a grade d on the report cards,

like yuck, but an adaptable yuck, lol...

do you know why?

well, the urban areas are more "accommodating" than the suburbs,

in the suburbs, they have to drive everywhere to purchase anything,

they don't have thousands of strangers using their privileged sidewalks,

in urban areas [city metropolis] you have thousands of strangers [millions of steps per day] utilizing the sidewalks,

it's buzzing with life like a tree in spring, bodies mobilizing around each other like bees in a hive,

people live here, work here, commute here,

party here, eat here, have fun here, just absorbing the zity experiences,

urban cities are like theme parks [free to enter, expensive to stay],

it's not g rated, x rated at minimum to survive here,

lots of foot traffic & stimulation, and that energy has to supply a demand,

unfortunately,

we can't control the actions of strangers [visitors & tourist],

and that's when littering becomes a problematic annoyance,

it takes a village,

but this here is zity and not a village,

it takes more than thought & prayers,

it takes funding & execution of action to curb a common problem!

it's not that urban dwellers don't want a clean neighborhood,

no excuse, but it's kind of hard when it's a 24-hour attraction with limited staff,

free for "the world" to explore, always a top destination attraction,

many individuals lack proper home training, if they don't respect their home,

they won't respect ours,

and that's why "littering is a quiet epidemic" in most large cities,

maybe not globally because there are some really clean cities that we've visited over the years,

hopeful ya'll get the drift...

suburbs have a fucking curfew, 12 on speed dial, some sort of neighborhood watch,

if you're in one of those h.o.a. situations across the country, you know i ain't fibbing,

it's like a co-op, but built spread out into neighborhoods,

you think you own the block,

nope, just like monopoly you just own a piece of the pie,

suburban members pay higher taxes for a reason,

it's called protection not inclusion, classism got folk fucked up,

we live in a wild ass world...

a quick historical question,

when did littering become pop culture?

we read in history about great cities across the globe suffering the same issues,

when millions live on top each other, packed like sardines in a can, pressure gonna bust those pipes and systems will keep failing until they upgraded to handle so much natural waste....

citizens should fund an agency to start a "war on littering", lol,

pros cons my opinion,

i want to say to everybody reading,

race, belief, or culture, or however you identify in this matrix,

we're all guilty of some sort of littering, direct or indirectly contributing,

however, before i get persecuted,

to those "dedicated & disciplined humans" out there that actually checks themselves, or even checks others for littering,

i commend you for fighting a winless war,

i've actually met individuals that are die hard "anti-littering" activist, going as far as to volunteer their time to travel and picking up trash for future awareness campaigns,

they know it's an uphill battle, but they want to do their part,

i respect that shit,

now for the rest of US,

should we take ideas from cities that are successful at managing littering for their zities?

are there fines or penalties given for unchecked litter?

there's gotta to be some money to be made here,

they give people money to report "idling trucks", why not give the same incentives for reporting littering & unchecked garbage,

let see how fast these streets get cleaned up when funds are involved,

it activates citizens to motivate and be vigilante,

can't claim victim if you're enabling the violators...
