i love my zity,
i love its influence,
i love its hustle, the energy,
i love its toxic positivity,
i love its grind,
i love its opportunities,
i love its reality from a - z, its open mind,
i love its inclusivity,
i love its four seasons,
i could go on lol...
it's the new york zity experience you should add to your bucket list!

we're guilty,
i admit, i'm a product of our environment,
so, these streets breed me and raised me until i was old enough to overstand its impact, such a melting pot extravaganza, it feels like a kaleidoscope in real life,
so many stimulating experiences, iconic memories,
a gritty infrastructure wit rambunctious energy,
many individuals come to nyc for multitudes of reasons,
for business, pleasure, or both,
to escape, or for sanctuary,
for naive curiosity, or to absorb eccentric culture,
to chase urban legend conspiracy stories or explore the freaks @ night etc.,
like we said, for many reasons, they have tv series based off our reality,
you name it, in sin city east dreams come true, lol,
but the one attraction that has been baiting and serving customers for many years in this city has been "the bootleggers",
yes, the offshore entrepreneurs supplying the demand and generating a billion-dollar industry consistently since landing on ellis island, [give them they flowers too],
i might have exaggerated those numbers a bit but it's still colossal,
counterfeit products of originals have been "pop culture" for so long its celebrated, lol,
not really regulated, if you can't beat them, hire them,
or send big brother to "cease & decease" them,
it's a dog-eat-dog scenario,
its survival of the savviest and the cat & mouse charade has been going on for centuries!
people want to look rich without having the rich lifestyle, [or $]
we live in a "fake it til you make it mentality" society,
and social media[s] have become the platform to filtering facts,
influential suckers "bait & switch" on millions of vulnerable viewers daily,
you name the product, the brand, i don't care what the fuck it is,
the chances you find a bootlegger hawking these items is likely high,
especially in such a dense metropolis of marginalized incomes...
we can bet,
more tourist has visited "canal street" than they have the "statue of liberty" or the "empire state building", combined,
we were going to add time square, however that's a beast on its own,
that's a tourist trap, it's starting to look like an outdoor mall not the gateway to the world!
how can you tell the difference in product "authenticity"?
do they have test like for diamonds,
or dna test for the material, or like a drug test for the ingredients [perfumes and shit like that]?
back in the day it was risky, now it just seems way too easy,
bootleg products can be in your favorite anchor stores too, if you get our drift,
with digital marketplace platforms you don't need to risk a charge for hawking boosted shit in the streets, digital currency is real,
with all the rampant shop lifting in the last few years,
we have to wonder where the boosted products go, and who are buying them,
supply and demand is real,
men lie, woman lie but numbers exposes both sides lol,
does it matter if it's a "booster" $pecial, fake or not,
as long as it contributes positively to the "fit check" and your pockets?
we've watched a lot of documentaries, news reports, investigator journalist reports, undercover stings, irl experiences, expert interviews blah blah,
the veil has been lifted many times and studied over the years,
the industry secrets are exposed,
confirmations and debunks about scandals have been "addressed",
the information is out there,
however,
my question in general is,
do consumers really care where the product comes from?
it looks the part, and you paid a good price, seems like a win win,
however again, there is "moral" risk,
it is identity theft,
but bootleggers are only the middleman supplying the demand in a gray market, they're not the actual plugs, just tentacles of a bigger octopus,
maybe "brands" should compete with the bootlegger prices for the same damn product and maybe then consumers will be loyal to the brand and not just the imagery of luxury...

no lie,
some of the bootleg items [replicas] are better than the actual brands collection,
we think it's great marketing, and brand exposure,
companies should take advantage of culture vulturing, they do it all the time,
however, curious viewers don't know if its legit or not,
but when asked they will know the "brand" based off their memory, and now that contributes to word-of-mouth advertising,
another win win,
now the digital foot traffic will increase because curious consumers are now looking for what they saw in the wild on the "brands" website or social medias,
but the reality is what the consumer saw was counterfeit, but dope,
now that customer needs to go on the "digital market" to find this item "illegally",
like i said, lol, bootleggers will have it or custom make it and ship it right to your house,
not even breaking the bank, factory to consumer direct,
we live in different times...
we @ riDc don't condoning this compulsive behavior,
but it is a reality, if you build it, they will come, supply & demand 101,
the millions of fake products that is floating around globally needs to be restudied, lol,
don't hate the players, hate the game, the gatekeepers, and MANipulators,
it feels like checkers, not chess,
i guess what's good for the goose ain't also good for the gander,
it's a risky business and i understand the "corporations" and "the artist" frustrations,
their point of view on this subject is about principals & ownership which equals to profits & royalties,
it kind of devalues the "brands" reputation, profit gains, investor interest etc.,
if over exposed without identity safeguards the dream is watered down,
if prostitution is the oldest profession in history,
then bootlegging is the second oldest profession in history, lol,
imagine if life was the dark web & only fans wit a.i. capabilities, smh,
no greedy middlemen, just part of the network,
the stock market would take a huge hit from how many industries are being gutted by loopholes and backdoor secrets being exposed [by a.i. ironically],
anybody can become their own plug these days in these digital streets!
call them what you like, but this issue would be labeled as a "victimless crime",
well, the only victim has a markup of 500% for the same product from the same factory,
the math ain't mathing, lol...
it's always buyer beware however those that play know the game their playing,
you get what you bargained for [fakality], not always what you pay for [authenticity]...

do you contribute to the counterfeit market?
we don't judge,
we observe,
then we judge...
our verdict is, do you,
it's your hard-earned money!
we'll leave you with the list of items that generates billions globally a year,
top bootlegger products:
luxury bags
sneakers
watches
sunglasses
jewelry
clothing
electronics
cd's/dvd's
small leather products [i.e. wallets, belts etc.]
shoes & fashion accessories...
