situational awareness 3.0 : "give me room to breathe"

this is a very near & dear topic to us @ riDc,

we were all born solo, unless your part of a unique club [of twins, triplets, quads and so forth]...

but the majority of us was in the womb dolo, developing an awareness of what's outside the womb,

then you pop out to a surprise party, that's your first realization, life is a crowded place,

that's probably why babies always look like they're in shock and start crying, lol!

i've noticed from birth children are smothered depending on the family structure,

in many cultures its overwhelming, and eventually "belief" ignores respect of "personal space"...

example,

just like how some people can't tell how loud their voice is in public, or on speaker phone,

same goes for personal space, some energies don't mix well in tight situations...

family and friends, even some associates get a pass,

but strangers [stranger danger],

thats a no no, please give me a breathable radius of space,

if not, then at least be aware of your personal space within others personal space in public places [or spaces],

i'm going to use general, yet "relatable scenarios" for context,

with an earth populated with billions of people, certain areas have millions residing within per square feet or yards of each other,

if it sounds unreal use your own environment measurements to wrap your mind around the concept,

or just beacon a.i. to assist, we live in that era of exploration...

riDc is a nyz experience, but this topic will expand beyond the zity limits

in our research,

buses, trains and airplanes are the most used and popular modes of transportation outside of private transportation,

you can throw in ferries as an honorable mention...

ok now that that's narrowed down, we can play the numbers game,

millions of citizens utilize these modes of transportation for varies reasons on a daily basis,

365 [366 if we are feeling leapy],

depending on time of day, or time of year etc. using public transportation can get sticky, frustrating, and congested!

personal space, what personal space?

in public? lol...

putting multiple mammals, cultures & personalities in such claustrophobic situations becomes naturally vexing,

like mice in a maze, confusion becomes conflicting, its every rider for themselves,

it's like crabs in a bucket but the supposed "civilized" experience we pay for...

we need a refund since we can't defund...

scene set time, let me cook...

first to commence with,

i hate lines, you'd have to pay me to wait in one,

i see them, i lose my appetite or interest in whatever i was there for, like what the fuck?

it truly triggers me, deeply, here's why...

its emotionally disappointing, mentally & physically draining lol,

sometimes it's not worth waiting on line, just go online and get it next day, it's not that serious lol...

moving on...

two seaters on the bus, or train,

some people don't have any home training, or civil sense,

it becomes cringey if your seat partner is sloppy, smelly or loud [airplanes is our honorary mention] ...

many riders need their civil manners checked,

a packed bus or train doesn't mean i want you leaning on me,

sleeping on me, breathing all up in my face, inconspicuously eye banging me [i see the side eye], no playing footsie wit strangers either,

this ain't the short bus, we adults here ..!.

covid ain't teach us shit about personal space?

also, a sidebar,

small talk is a no no without permission, my silence should set the boundaries,

read the room, i wear the sound cancellers for a reason,

stay in ya lane and enjoy the ride ..!.

aight, so this one really tickles my demons,

bag lady you gone miss ya bus lol [hi ms badu], but bitch if you make the bus tuck them bags in, respectfully,

because unintentionally mushing somebody's head with your bags can turn toxic really quicky,

be aware of your inconveniencing to those in public spaces,

today could be a bad day for the wrong one, if you know what i mean!

this next one goes for everybody,

we've been all guilty once or twice and readjusted to the environment respectfully,

but the worse violators,

winner of the "pet peeve" award goes to the big bookbag wearing riders,

the backpacker types, similar to the bag lady but third-degree violators,

you know which ones i'm referencing to,

looks like they whole life is in that bag, glued to they back,

every motion they make, its chest bumps the person behind them, and when they turn to apologize,

they raggedy property is pimp slappin' another passenger, 

advice,

how bout they just take off the fucking bag so it's not feeling like bumper cars in an already crowed, hostile environment,

these "types" come off as strangers to the mechanics of urban city culture,

they need to learn some civil manners & be aware of the surroundings with "their" personal belongings "in public spaces!"

this next one could be strategy or just cluelessness,

how many seats do passengers pay for? [if you paid]

i get it,

deter fellow passengers by putting your stuff on the "empty" seat,

but if its rush hour tho and it's getting packed,

move your shit or get embarrassed for not being aware of your surroundings in public spaces,

i would rather have a seat to myself too, but i have "civil sense" to be able to use "common sense" in simple situations like this!

you really can't make shit like this up,

these are just observation of situations i've witnessed,

i love my space,

however, in public i can't controls other behaviors or actions,

but i can avoid & ignore they asses,

i'm a 3rd degree black belt in "staying in my lane" and "minding my bizness",

i take pride in my accomplishments, lol...

so next time you use public transportation, look around you,

are you going with the flow or going against the grain,

don't be a victim, just learn some manners, and refrain from being an assclown in public spaces,

respect people's personal space & property, and maybe that gesture will be returned to you!
